The need for development models that cause less damage to the environment and for corporations to adopt socio-environmental practices is becoming ever more pressing. These topics have been receiving a great deal of attention from governments, businesses, academia and civil society organizations.
The Sustainable Dialogues program was designed to create a forum for the perspectives of different stakeholders and for discussion of points of agreement and disagreement on relevant topics in the business world.
The first round of the program’s events, from 2006 to 2009, was sponsored by Alcoa. Sustainable Dialogue is now seeking new partnerships with businesses and other key players who also are committed to having a forum for discussion of environmental topics that affect their business models. Funbio has been able to attract a range of leaders throughout Brazil who are aware of and genuinely interested in a new production model.
