EcoFunds’s goals are:

• Identify demands, needs and priorities for investment.
• Advise investors and program implementors on best allocation of funding for conservation in the region.
• Connect investors with programs to facilitate more efficient investments.

The portal Ecofunds was launched in October, 2010 at the 10th Conference of Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP-10), in Nagoya, and during the 12th Annual Meeting of RedLAC, held in Guadalajara, Mexico.
