The Brazilian Network of Socio-environmental Funds (RBFA in Portuguese) is a joint initiative of the National Environmental Fund (FNMA in Portuguese), the National Association of Environmental Agencies (ANAMMA in Portuguese) and the Brazilian Association of State Environmental Agencies (ABEMA in Portuguese). This network was created to facilitate dialogue across the federal, states and municipal governments to define the various financing projects of the National Environmental Policy.
The Network focuses on strengthening the funds through fundraising, evaluation of operational procedures, computerization of processes, fostering social involvement and improving legislation on public environmental funding. Funbio houses the administration of the Network, under the guises of the FNMA.
